• Applicants for Kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2026.
• Applicants for First Grade must be 6 years old on or before September 1, 2026, regardless of completing Kindergarten in a private school.
• All residents of the State of Georgia are eligible to apply to ICAGeorgia.

ICAGeorgia’s Admissions Process by Grade Level

Our admissions process varies by grade level. In accordance with guidelines set forth by the Georgia Department of Education (SBOE Rule 160-4-9-.05) and to ensure your child’s success at ICAGeorgia, all prospective students entering 2nd through 8th Grade must demonstrate a specific level of proficiency in Japanese through the Avant STAMP 4Se Assessment.

Admissions Process by Grade Level

Kindergarten & 1st Grade

• Open to all Georgia residents meeting the age requirement.
• No Japanese language proficiency assessment required.
• Only lottery registration is needed through Lotterease, beginning January 6, 2026.
• Once selected, our admissions office will assist with the online registration process.

Grades 2–8

Beginning next school year, ICAGeorgia will expand through 8th Grade and introduce a Japanese Language Proficiency Requirement.

• Applicants must complete the STAMP 4Se Japanese language assessment before entering the lottery.
• The assessment is FREE and held on-site at ICAGeorgia.
• Students must meet the required proficiency scores by grade level.

• After passing, create a Lotterease account to apply and track your application status.
• If selected, the admissions office will assist with final steps and online registration process.
